Sometimes I hesitate to share various things... this is one of them. I've been so busy, leaping from project to project, that my studio was suffering from neglect. I had bags, boxes and stacks of things on the floor and the table tops. I know I'm not the only one this happens to. Which is why I decided to share. I took advantage of several days off in a row to remedy this!
Now the "before" photos, actually are more like "middle" photos. I couldn't quite bring myself to photograph the full mess : ).
I started at one spot, and worked my way clockwise around the room. This helps because then I can look at a single spot and see it cleared, giving me energy to continue. I made piles of like items all around me:
After four days (with breaks), I'm utterly delighted to see this:
I took all the "like items" and put them in gallon bags with labels made with white artist's tape and a Sharpie pen. I like this because it is easy to see what I have, pull it out, and put it away. Nothing gets buried.
Just looking at this and my clean, shiny "new" studio makes me want to create!
The perfect way to start the New Year!!! ; )
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS!!! May 2014 be the best you've had yet!!!
