Last weekend a friend and I headed up to Mt. Rainier, which is the volcano that sits near the city of Seattle. We often forget it is there because our skies are often cloudy. But when we get a bright blue sky suddenly there is this immense mountain hovering in the skyline. You know by now, my love of nature. We had our first really hot weekend (90 degrees at the base of the mountain-and it was 79 degrees at Sunrise Visitor Center on the mountain.
Check out this guy-he was just hanging out off the road, tucked away in this meadow.
We were very lucky to discover this amazing swimming hole. In the photo below, you can see how shallow it is, until it drops of fast, and becomes ~15 feet. Oh and that water is COLD.

The meadows on the mountain are in full bloom-just covered in wildflowers.
