In this post I'm sharing the wonderful art of Marita Dingus. She very generously gave me permission to take photos of her work and share it with you on my blog. I love how she combines fabric, leather, fibers, wire, paint, and found objects to create her figures, faces, baskets, and jewelry. Definitely go check this show out if you are in the Seattle area.

The Inspiring Art of Mar Goman

This post features the art of Mar Goman- She is so talented! Thanks Mar so much for giving me permission to share your work with my readers!

There is a fabulous art show up at Francine Seders Gallery in Seattle, WA, U.S.A. It features three Pacific Northwest artists, Mar Goman, Marita Dingus, and Elizabeth Sandvig. The show will be up until July 8th.

I was able to just make it to the last hour of the artist's reception, after teaching class. I talked with both Mar Goman and Marita Dingus, and both of them generously gave me permission to take photos of their work and to share it with you on this blog. If you are in Seattle, please go see the show in person. I did my best, but these photos are nothing like seeing the art in person. Regardless, you'll see how amazing and inspiring these artists are. I am not sharing any of Ms. Sandvig's work, as I didn't get a chance to talk to her. My apologies for not getting photos of the artists with their work-I didn't have my camera with me at the opening.

Francine Seders Gallery has been around for more than 45 years. The gallery represents many talented artists, including the estates of artists, Jacob Lawrence and Mark Tobey.
