Do you find yourself drawn to particular colors one day, and different colors another day? I find that when I'm creating I'll keep reaching for the same colors even if I'm doing a painting, making a necklace, or sewing together bits of fabric. And the next day I could be on to another color scheme. The weather definitely influences my color moods. Yesterday it was cloudy and cool and I unconsciously chose a darker, richer palette. I've taken on a fun project. In July I'll be joining 30 other artists and showing 30 pieces of art made in 30 days. Fortunately each canvas is actually only an adorable size of 4" x 4". The piece I worked on yesterday was what I more typically reach for in autumn-deep, shimmering golds, lively rusts, graphite, and charcoal colored paint. So just for fun I thought I'd share some of my photos that also feature these colors.
And here is what started the theme for today's blog...

This photo is bigger than the actual canvas. : ) Celebrate whatever colors that you are drawn to today and see how many places you can spot them! Happy Creating!
