Last weekend was the Fremont Solstice Parade and as usual it was a delightful and creative event! The rules for this parade are that everything is handmade, no words are allowed and no motorized vehicles. We got there an hour and a half early, and the sidewalks were already claimed with blankets, tarps and chairs. IT WAS raining and cool-and true to our mossy green gills none of us were to be stopped by the weather. I saved a curb while my friends sought out hot drinks at a nearby coffee shop. You can't tell from these photos that it was so rainy because I "brightened" them up a bit to pretend it was SUNNY : ).
Happy Beginning of Summer! Next post--The wonderful art cars at the Solstice Fair!
