Today is going to be a bit of a mish mosh of projects. I have several things under way in the studio and few of them are complete. So you get to see pictures of things in progress.
Well I guess-these are complete. I've been making scarves full of juicy color combinations. I love mixing all the beautiful yarns and fabrics together. They are all very soft-because I just can't stand scratchy things against my neck. I'm taking these to Journalfest for vendor's night, and I will also have them at my open studio in December.
Could you resist playing with such lovely fibers?? I thought it was funny how well the yarns matched the chair!
More scarves. I just love playing with all these fun color combos.
This is what I was doing this morning when I was awake from 1:30 to 5am. I started working on my journal cover. This doesn't feel done yet. But I'm letting it "incubate" until I get a sure sense of what it wants next.
Inside front cover--more early morning activity! Also not done yet!
The girls asleep but keeping me company while I work in the studio. I just love how they curl up like this.
The very definition of "cozy"!
These are bits and pieces of a painting I'm working on. I started with collage and I'm painting over it with acrylics.
This is the back of a sweater that I'm creating. I didn't realize until just now, as I'm writing this post, that this has the exact same colors as the painting above! This is a photo of what it looked like before I sewed it.
And this is after. I am pleased with how the texture of sewing it really added to it. I am not done with this either! But again it is resting, while I switch my focus to other things.
So there is a quick peek at the colorful "under construction" mayhem that surrounds me as I write to you. Have a truly terrific day!
