Hi, Sorry to be away for so long. I realized that I had spent most of my summer creating my web site and blog. So I took some time to enjoy the sun which was kind enough to come out.
On one of those days a friend and I took a spontaneous road trip. We jumped on the freeway without a plan and chose our exits/streets on a whim.
We discovered wonderful things hidden in small towns and were delighted that when we came back to our city we felt that we had truly gotten away. I highly recommend inviting serendipity into your life like that. Here are some of my favorite snapshots.
We passed through many small towns. Snacking on freshly made caramel popcorn and watching scattered rain drops, my very tolerant and understanding friend waited patiently while I took about 90 pictures of .....
Can you guess what this is? All those wonderful textures and colors! A painting started by humans that is being painted over by nature. I just couldn't help myself.
I also loved discovering these wonderful kid paintings that decorated the sidewalk!
I've hit a bit of a creative lull-or maybe just a temporary switching of gears. I've been much more drawn to baking bread, making soup, and knitting-it must be October!
